Hand and Wrist Surgeon



Dr Anna Watson is an Australian trained specialist orthopaedic surgeon with additional subspecialty training in hand and wrist conditions.

Dr Watson graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2001. Further study was undertaken at the University of Queensland and in 2005 she completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Her junior doctor years were undertaken in Queensland. She then moved to Sydney to join the Australian Orthopaedic Training Programme and on completion, obtained her FRACS in 2015. 

Dr Watson then undertook a fellowship in hand, wrist and microsurgery at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. This was followed by further fellowship training at Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney. Dr Watson attained international experience with further fellowships undertaken at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, Inselspital Hospital in Bern, Switzerland and Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Dr Watson is a member of the Australian and New South Wales Hand Societies, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.  She has commenced practice at Northern Beaches Hospital, Sydney Hospital (locum) and St Luke's Private Hospital.
